The Shelton–Modi FAA Written Test Scholarship is offered during the year-end scholarship cycle. Application materials and deadlines will be posted when they become available. The application packet contains complete information regarding eligibility, required documentation, submission instructions, and important deadlines. Applicants are encouraged to begin preparing their materials well before the application deadline.
The Emerging Professional Pilot Program recognizes one student each month who consistently demonstrates the qualities expected of a professional pilot. The selected student receives a one-hour Cessna 172 Gift Certificate on the first Saturday of each month!
While flight skills are an important part of becoming a pilot, professionalism is demonstrated through the habits students bring to every lesson. This program recognizes students who consistently demonstrate the qualities that contribute to a positive learning environment and a strong safety culture.
Students have the opportunity to demonstrate these qualities throughout their regular flight training. One student is selected each month to receive the program's one-hour Cessna 172 Gift Certificate.


Aviation extends well beyond flight lessons. Throughout the year, Orient Flight School participates in a variety of programs and community events that help introduce more people to flying while celebrating general aviation.
More than 50 flights are gifted each year through the Let's Fly Now program. Through the Let's Fly Now program, Orient Flight School helps provide more than 50 flights each year, giving participants an opportunity to experience general aviation firsthand.
Orient Flight School enjoys participating in Girl Scouts Camp activities that introduce young people to aviation through hands-on experiences and interaction with the aviation community.
EAA Fly-In events bring together pilots, aircraft, aviation enthusiasts, and members of the local aviation community. Orient Flight School is proud to participate in these events throughout the year.
Orient Flight School is proud to serve as a flying host for Civil Air Patrol events, supporting aviation-focused activities within the local community.
